What You'll Learn

Workshops will take place Tuesdays on April 13, 20 & 27 from 6pm-8pm PST

Fundamentals of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

This workshop is a timely and insightful investigation into diversity and inclusion that
explores inclusive language, unconscious bias and respectful team building.

This session is a great introductory course for teams beginning to explore diversity, equity
and inclusion in their workplaces. Participants will learn through interactive, team-building style activities about the foundations of diversity and inclusion principles, vocabulary and frameworks.

Participants will also learn about the importance of diversity and inclusion initiatives and strategies in their workplaces through research,
case studies, and HR best practices.

Disrupting Unconscious Bias

Unconscious Bias exists within all of us, and this workshop shows us that it is possible to untangle. By naming various Unconscious Bias types, participants become attuned to some standard jumps from belief to assumption. Beyond naming, this session prompts participants to get diligent and strategic about noticing Unconscious Bias and acting more inclusively. Participants learn through engaging activities, thought-provoking questions, and sci-fi inspired frameworks for undoing Unconscious Bias.

Unlearning Anti-Blackness

Unlearning Anti-Blackness is a deep dive into unpacking the manifestations of anti-Black racism in our society.

The session weaves together key events in Black history, contemporary examples of racism and tangible actions for allies. Unlearning Anti-Blackness explores themes such as cultural appropriation, solidarity, activism, intersectionality, Black and queer identity, microaggressions, intergenerational trauma and transformative justice.

This workshop is recommended for groups who have intermediate to advanced social justice knowledge and competency and a core foundation of anti-racist vocabulary.
